
Kokrajhar (Assam), 16 May (HS): Kokrajhar police has seized 265 kgs of ganja in an operation. Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday that the police has informed about a major success regarding the ongoing drive against drugs in the state.
The Chief Minister said that on the basis of reliable information, Kokrajhar police stopped a vehicle and recovered 265 kgs of ganja from it, which is worth around ₹1.35 crore.
Two drug peddlers have also been arrested in this action. The Chief Minister has praised the Assam Police and called it a commendable step. He said, The message of the government is clear, strict action against drug peddlers will continue under the anti-drugs drive.
