
New Delhi, July 18 (HS): Today, positive signals are evident in the global market. The US markets ended the last session higher, with the Dow Jones futures exhibiting an upward trend. European markets also saw continuous buying, closing positively. The S&P 500 index increased by 0.54 percent to close at 6,297.38 points, while the Nasdaq gained 153.58 points, or 0.74 percent, finishing at 20,884.27 points. Currently, Dow Jones futures are up by 112.52 points, or 0.25 percent, at 44,597.01 points.
In Europe, the FTSE index rose 0.51 percent to 8,972.64 points, the CAC increased by 1.28 percent to 7,822 points, and the DAX closed up by 1.48 percent at 24,370.93 points.
Asian markets, however, show mixed results today, with 6 out of 9 indices in the green and 3 in the red. The GIFT Nifty is down by 0.06 percent at 25,132 points; the Nikkei fell by 0.32 percent to 39,773.79 points, and the Kospi slipped by 0.45 percent to 3,177.80 points. Conversely, the Straits Times index gained 0.42 percent to 4,179.06 points, the Hang Seng is up by 0.70 percent to 24,671.62 points, and the Jakarta Composite jumped by 1.37 percent to 7,386.61 points.
