
New Delhi, May 23 (H.S): Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group, announced an additional ₹50,000 crore investment in Northeast India over the next decade, building on a previously pledged ₹50,000 crore for Assam in February, bringing the total commitment to ₹1 lakh crore. The announcement was made during the ‘Rising North East Investors Summit 2025’ in New Delhi, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Adani emphasized that the new investment will focus on developing green energy, constructing roads, and enhancing digital infrastructure. The initiatives will prioritize local jobs and entrepreneurship, fostering community engagement and aligning with the vision for India 2047. He highlighted the Northeast’s diversity and resilience, calling it a source of cultural pride and economic potential. With a commitment to sustainable development, Adani expressed the Group’s ambition to expand its presence in the region, which he sees as vital to India’s evolving development narrative.
