Nagon (Assam), 25 April (HS): Dhing MLA Aminul Islam was produced in the Nagon District Court on Friday, where the court ordered him to be sent to four-day police custody. The police had sought seven days’ custody from the court.

Aminul Islam was recently arrested on charges of anti-national remarks. The police took suo motu cognizance and registered a case against him and started investigation. The case is related to his controversial remarks regarding Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

After the arrest, MLA Aminul Islam was given a health check-up and then he was presented in the court. Nagon police have registered a case against him under sections 347/25, 152/196/197(i)/113(i)/352/353 of the BNS.
