Washington, May 3 (HS): The recent mineral agreement between the United States and Ukraine is a positive development for President Volodymyr Zelensky. This agreement was signed after a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Zelensky in Vatican City.

Subsequently, the U.S. State Department approved a $310.5 million sale of F-16 fighter jet training and equipment to Ukraine, marking the first approval related to the mineral deal. The investment fund from this agreement will provide significant economic aid, with Ukraine covering only half of the purchase price.

The Defence Security Cooperation Agency stated this will boost Ukraine’s strategic capabilities and improve security. The sale aligns with U.S. foreign policy objectives, enabling Ukrainian pilots to undergo training that enhances interoperability with the U.S. Air Force and helps address future challenges.
