
New Delhi, May 1 (HS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah issued a stern warning to terrorists following the recent Pahalgam attack, affirming that they should not consider themselves victorious. He vowed to track down all involved terrorists during an event in Kailash Colony, New Delhi, where he inaugurated a road and unveiled a statue in honor of Bodoland leader Upendra Nath Brahma.
Shah emphasized the statue’s importance for Bodoland, Assam, and small tribes nationwide who have long fought for development and equality. He began his speech by honoring the victims of terrorism in Pahalgam and assured their families that the entire nation stands with them.
Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long-standing zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism in Kashmir from the 1990s, Shah stated, We have fought our battle with strength… Every individual will receive a response, and there will be consequences.
He noted the government’s robust responses to issues in the northeast, left-wing extremism, and the threats of terrorism in Kashmir under Modi’s leadership.
Shah warned terrorists that their cowardly attacks could not define victory and reiterated the commitment to eradicate terrorism from India, asserting that 1.4 billion Indians and the global community support this fight. He affirmed that as long as terrorism persists, the government’s battle will continue, and those responsible will be punished.
In celebrating Bodofa Upendranath Brahma on his death anniversary, Shah highlighted the statue as a symbol of dignity and self-respect for small tribes who have struggled for their rights.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Bodoland Territorial Council chief executive member Promod Boro also attended the Delhi event.Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and other dignitaries were also present.
