Chennai, 4 May (H.S.) : Music maestro AR Rahman set the DY Patil Stadium ablaze with the grand premiere of ‘The Wonderment Tour’ on Saturday night, captivating over 40,000 fans with a spectacular musical extravaganza. The concert, part of the WAVES Summit 2025, featured an eclectic mix of Rahman’s iconic tracks, including Maa Tujhe Salaam, Agar Tum Saath Ho, Inna Sona, and Sadda Haq, alongside songs from his latest film, Chhaava.

The evening was elevated by a surprise appearance from South cinema star Dhanush, who joined Rahman on stage for a electrifying rendition of their hit song Adangaatha Asuran from the 2024 film Raayan. The duo’s performance sent the crowd into a frenzy, with fans taking to social media to share videos and photos of the unforgettable moment. Dhanush, visibly moved, later posted on Instagram, An absolute honour @arrahman sir, accompanied by a heartfelt red-heart emoji.

Rahman, known for blending tradition with innovation, shared a post-concert selfie with fans on Instagram, captioning it, Post concert selfie with my clan. The event also featured performances by AR Ameen, Jonita Gandhi, Sukhwinder Singh, and Zanai Bhosle, with choreography by Shiamak Davar adding a dazzling visual flair.

Conceptualized by Rahman in collaboration with Percept Live, Fair Game, and Jo Entertainment, the concert was hailed as a once-in-a-lifetime moment by attendees. Project Director Ashwwin Mukundan described it as a celebration of creativity and the power of music. The night also saw an unexpected appearance by Mohit Chauhan, further thrilling the audience.
