London, July 19(HS):English club Arsenal has taken a major step by signing Chelsea winger Noni Madueke on Friday. This deal is reportedly worth £48 million (approximately $65 million). Arsenal said in its official statement, We are extremely excited to announce that England international player Noni Madueke has signed a long-term contract with us.

Madueke, 23, has played 92 matches for Chelsea, netting 20 goals and 9 assists. He was involved in five Club World Cup matches in the USA but missed the final win over PSG. Formerly in youth teams at Crystal Palace and Tottenham, he joined PSV Eindhoven in 2018 and will wear jersey number 20 at Arsenal.

Bidding farewell to Chelsea on Instagram, he wrote: Dear Chelsea Football Club, thank you for the last three years… Thank you to my teammates; I have only love and respect for you all. Madueke further wrote, Coach Enzo Maresca, it has been a privilege to play under you. Thank you for trying to make me a better player and person. And finally, gratitude to every Chelsea fan – for the love, the praise, and even the criticism – I appreciate it all. I am taking only good memories from here.
