BJP accuses Congress of supporting Pakistan in controversial post about terrorist attack

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia

New Delhi, April 29 (HS): The BJP has criticized Congress for a controversial post on X (formerly Twitter) that targets Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing the party of aligning with Pakistan amid discussions of a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia stated that Congress’s actions signal support for Pakistan rather than solidarity with India, framing the post as a detrimental conspiracy to undermine national integrity and discredit Modi. Bhatia emphasized Modi’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and highlighted the unified resolve of India’s leadership, military, and citizens against such threats. He controversially suggested that Congress could be dubbed Lashkar-e-Pakistan Congress for its perceived betrayal and alignment with enemy interests.

Bhatia declared that Congress’s attempts to diminish Modi’s security stance are futile, asserting that the morale of both India’s military and government is unshakeable. He indicated that all significant actions by Congress are contingent on Rahul Gandhi’s approval, implying that the controversial poster—a graphic depicting Modi with missing parts and labeled MISSING—was authorized by him. This poster, released by Congress, claimed At the time of responsibility – missing, provoking the BJP’s indignation.

Bhatia reiterated that the nation’s resilience against these challenges remains strong, with no force capable of undermining it. The BJP maintains that Congress is attempting to weaken both the government and military morale amidst these trying times.
