Bhuj/Delhi, 16 May (H.S.): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced on Friday that Operation Sindoor is ongoing, highlighting that Indian forces have effectively ‘overpowered’ and ‘destroyed’ the enemy. He indicated that the current ceasefire reflects India’s strategy of placing Pakistan on probation, contingent on its future conduct.

Singh warned that any disruption would lead to severe repercussions. He articulated that combating terrorism has now become an integral part of India’s national defense strategy, stating, “We will eliminate this hybrid and proxy warfare.” During a visit to the Indian Air Force base in Bhuj, where he met IAF personnel alongside IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, the minister praised the IAF’s capabilities.

He emphasized that India’s fighter jets can target any area in Pakistan without crossing the border and highlighted the successful elimination of nine terrorist bases in Pakistan. Singh commended the IAF’s courage and the advancement of India’s military strategy and technology, asserting that India is increasingly self-reliant and not solely dependent on foreign arms.
