
Chennai, 17 May (H.S.): Coimbatore-based electronics engineers Rudresh and Suraj have made a significant breakthrough in robotics with the development of an AI-powered dog robot. This innovative robot is designed to perform a range of tasks, including rescue operations, security patrolling, and industrial inspections. With its advanced mobility features, the robot can navigate challenging terrains, climb slopes, and even withstand water exposure for up to five hours.
The AI dog robot is equipped with cutting-edge technology, enabling it to function autonomously and leverage its payload capacity of 5 kg. It can sprint at speeds of up to 20 km/h and climb steps up to 15 cm, making it an ideal candidate for deployment in diverse settings. The robot’s potential applications are vast, ranging from search and rescue missions in disaster scenarios to industrial inspections in hazardous environments.
The development team plans to further enhance the robot’s capabilities and deploy it for urban pipe and sewage inspections, including monitoring underground drinking water pipelines.
