Nagpur, 12 May (HS):
The work on the Central Government’s Agritech project should be completed before
May 31, so that all the schemes can reach famers at all levels. Effective
implementation of Agritech would also ensiure transparency in serving the
farmers through various government schemes, said Maharashtra’s Revenue Minister
and Nagpur’s Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Monday.
The officers and
employees will face action in case of dereliction of duty on this count,
Bawanklule said. He was speaking during a meeting to review Kharip season 2025
preparedness in Nagpur district. Minister of State for Agriculture Adv Ashish
Jaiswal, MP Shyamkumar Barve, MLA Charansinh Thakur, Zilla Parishad CEO Vinayak
Mahamuni, Officiating District Collector Pradip Kulkarni, and other senior
officers were present.
The government
is using all methods, including use of Artificial Intelligence, for the benefit
of the farmers and raising their standard of living.
GRAMSABHA RECORDING:
The CEO’s office will be connected to all the Gram Panchayats. The Gram Sabha
(Village Meetings) should be recorded online. The Agricultural Assistant or
Superintendent must remain present during the Gram Sabha, Bawankule said.The funds for improving the connectivity will
be made available.
BARREN LAND FOR
FODDER: The government will decide to use the barren land for growing
foddr for the cattle. The work will be done through MGREGS.
BOGUS SEEDS:
Availability of adequate quantities of seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides should be ensured for the
Kharif season. An offence will be registered against shops, distributors, or
officers on receiving a complaint about the supply of bogus seeds or spurious
fertilizers and pesticides.
Bawankule also
issued a warning that increments in salaries of the employees responsible for the delay in the implementation of the government programmes will be held back.
