Courts Told To Accept ACB Challans Manually After ACB Director’s Request

Jammu, 25 April (H.S.): Following a request from the Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has directed all criminal courts across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to accept challans manually from the ACB for three months.

An order issued in this regard by Registrar General, Shahzad Azeem, has directed the authorized representatives of the ACB to upload the charge-sheets into the Court Information System (CIS) under court staff supervision to ensure proper and timely entry.

The ACB has also been asked to update its software to avoid similar requests in the future.

“Charge-sheets related to the current year must continue to be filed through the CCTNS software,” the order said.
