Hathras,
27 April (HS): Samajwadi
Party (SP) Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Lal Suman’s convoy was attacked on Sunday
afternoon. It is alleged that youths from Kshatriya community threw tyres and
stones at the convoy. While fleeing, the vehicles in the convoy collided with
each other. Five to six people were injured. Police reached the spot on
receiving the information and took the Rajya Sabha MP under protection. It is
being told that Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Lal Suman was going to meet a Dalit family
in Bulandshahr. Before Gabhana toll plaza of Aligarh, youths of Kshatriya
community suddenly came on the highway and started throwing tyres and stones at
the convoy. More than 20 vehicles were present in the MP’s convoy. To avoid the
attack, the vehicles started running fast. During this, five vehicles collided
with each other, in which five to six people were injured. After the attack,
supporters and policemen took Ramji Lal under security cover and sent him
towards Bulandshahr.
After
the attack, Ramjilal Suman, who was scared, said that stones were pelted on his
convoy. At that time, I don’t know where the eyes of the police were. In UP,
the government is kind to some sections of people. Dalits are troubled by
atrocities. Cases like the crushing of Dalits in Sunehra of Bulandshahr are in
front of everyone. The administration says that strict action has been taken in
these cases, but we do not consider these actions to be strict, because
atrocities are being committed on Dalits even after police action. A delegation
under his leadership was going to meet the victim’s family. SP Lohia Vahini
President, Scheduled Cell President were also included in it. But the
police-administration stopped them. The administration does not want the
reality to come out in front of everyone. In true sense, today there is a flood
of atrocities on Dalits in UP. Whatever happened to the Dalit child in Nagra
Talsi in Agra, Rampur, is in front of everyone. Baba Saheb’s statues are being
broken at many places in UP.
In
this regard, Superintendent of Police Nagar Mrigank Shekhar Pathak said that a
complaint has been made by the Rajya Sabha MP that some miscreants have thrown
tyres at his convoy. In this regard, a case has been registered in Gabhana
police station and investigation is being carried out. It is noteworthy that a
Rajya Sabha MP from SP had made a controversial comment about Rana Sanga in the
Parliament recently. Karni Sena had expressed a lot of displeasure over this
and had also protested. State president of the Sena, Gyanendra Singh had
already given a warning.
