Four cattle thieves sent to judicial custody

Golaghat (Assam), 16 May (HS): Khumtai police of Golaghat district has arrested four cattle thieves with the help of local people. Police said on Friday that Himanshu Shekhar Gogoi, Parth Pratim Gogoi, Tajuddin Ali and Azharuddin Ali of Khumtai have been arrested on charges of stealing and selling cattle grazing in the field.

All the arrested youths belong to good families. All have been arrested under FIR 24/2025 Section 303 (2) /3(5) BNS lodged by Kamal Kurmi in connection with the incident. All the arrested accused were produced in the court by the police from where the court has sent all of them to judicial custody for 14 days. The incident of cattle theft by youths belonging to good families has become a topic of discussion in the area.
