G7 condemns Pahalgam attack; urges India, Pakistan to restrain

New Delhi, May 10 (H.S.) : The G7 countries have strongly condemned the terrorist attack that occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack on April 22 resulted in several fatalities. G7 Foreign Ministers referred to this incident as a horrific terrorist attack.

High representatives from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union stated in a joint statement that India and Pakistan should exercise maximum restraint.

The statement emphasized that if military tensions between the two countries escalate, it could endanger the stability of the entire region. The G7 called for both countries to engage in direct dialogue and take steps toward de-escalation of tensions.
