
New Delhi, 26 June (HS) : The global market is robust for the third consecutive day, with US markets experiencing gains in the last session. Dow Jones futures are trading positively. European markets faced selling pressure, while Asian markets are seeing an upward trend today. The US market witnessed mixed results after a celebratory session, as profit booking affected Wall Street indices. The S&P 500 Index closed slightly down at 6,092.16 points, while the Nasdaq rose by 0.31% to 19,973.55 points. Currently, Dow Jones futures are up 0.16% at 43,052.29 points. In Europe, selling persisted, leading to declines across major indices: the FTSE Index fell 0.46% to 8,718.75 points, CAC Index down 0.77% to 7,558.16 points, and the DAX Index decreased by 0.61% to 23,498.33 points.
Meanwhile, Asian markets exhibit generally positive trends today, with 7 out of 9 indices trading in the green. The KOSPI Index suffered a notable decline of 1.79%, at 3,053.59 points, while the Hang Seng Index dropped by 0.43%. Conversely, the GIFT Nifty increased 0.18% to 25,305.50 points, the Taiwan Weighted Index rose by 0.39%, and the Nikkei Index made significant gains, up 1.31% at 39,453.49 points. Other indices showed modest increases as well.
