Imphal, May 3 (HS): Security forces conducted a search operation in the Fayeng Makha Leikai area under Lamsang police station in Imphal West district of Manipur. During this, a large quantity of arms, military and civilian material was recovered.

Manipur police PRO said on Saturday that during the operation, the security forces recovered 02 improvised rockets, 02 improvised mortar pompies, 03 helmets, 08 BP plates, 12 military pants, 06 military shirts, 09 military T-shirts, 11 pairs of military shoes, 03 military P-caps, 01 jungle cap, 02 military sweaters, 05 official party flags of the banned organization PLA, 01 blanket, 02 scarves, 03 civil jogging shirts, 02 civil T-shirts and 01 civil pants.

Security agencies have seized all the seized items and started investigating the case. The recovery indicates that the suspects were preparing for some major activity in the area.
