Indian Army Press Conference

New Delhi, May 12 (H.S.): The Indian Army has once again shown Pakistan its reflection and demonstrated the strength of India’s air defense system. Additionally, it provided evidence to Pakistan, which is self-glorifying without proof, on how India’s extensive striking capability has destroyed its critical military infrastructure. It was made clear that all military bases and systems are fully active and the army is ready for the next mission.

A special press conference on Operation Sindoor was held today at the National Media Centre, attended by senior officials from the Air Force, Army, and Navy. They addressed the media and shared adversary.information regarding the military actions, preparations, and achievements made during the operation.

Air Marshal A.K. Bharti conveyed the essence of the entire operation in a few words using lines from Ramcharit Manas during the press conference. He quoted, vinay na maanat jaladh jad gaye trei din beeti. Bole Ram sakop tab bhay binu hoyi na preeti. He stated that these lines are still relevant today and clarify our policy – despite wishing for peace, if provoked, a response will be given.

Director General of Military Operations, Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai, mentioned that the nature of terrorist activities has changed in recent years, with innocent civilians now being targeted. He stated that the pot of sin had filled up to Pahalgam.

Air Marshal A.K. Bharti reported that all military bases and systems are fully operational and prepared to tackle any future challenges. He also presented an overall picture of the targets hit by the Air Force under Operation Sindoor. He highlighted that the Indian air defense system has demonstrated excellent resilience. Effective use of weapons for point security to regional security under the layered defense system was made. Various types of drones and UCAVs were neutralized. Older systems like Pechora, Osa-AK, and LLD guns also performed brilliantly, while the role of the indigenous ‘Akash’ system was noteworthy.

Use of Foreign Systems and Response

The army showed with pictures what happened to the foreign weapons used by Pakistan in India. Debris from the Chinese PL-15 air-to-air missiles and long-range rockets used in Pakistan’s attacks has been recovered. Additionally, India shot down Turkish-made Yihha and Songar drones. The Air Marshal reported that many drones and UCAVs sent by Pakistan were thwarted by India’s soft and hard kill counter-UAS systems and trained air defense teams.

Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai stated that targeting India’s airfields and logistic networks is extremely challenging. Citing a famous Australian saying, he mentioned – Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust, if Thommo don’t get ya, Lily must. (Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if Thommo doesn’t catch you, then Lily surely will) He explained that any layer of India’s multi-layered security system can prevent the

adversary.

Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod indicated that the Navy is constantly monitoring with the help of multi-sensor and intelligence inputs. A comprehensive and effective layered fleet air defense system is in place against all potential threats, whether they are drones, missiles, or fighter and surveillance aircraft. He also emphasized that the budgetary and policy support received in the last decade has played a crucial role in building and empowering Indian defense systems. He expressed gratitude for the support from the country’s political leadership and the citizenry. Air Marshal Bharti also mentioned that if a war occurs in the future, it will be completely different from past conflicts. Every war has its own strategy. Technology is advancing rapidly today, and we are also a part of that advancement.
