India and Denmark Strengthen Energy Sector Cooperation Through Renewed Partnership

India and Denmark signs renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today.

Delhi, 2 May (H.S.): India and Denmark have strengthened their energy collaboration by signing a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary of the Ministry of Power, and Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, Denmark’s Ambassador to India, signed the agreement in the presence of Manohar Lal, Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs. This MoU reflects both countries’ dedication to enhancing clean energy transitions and supports India’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.

Building on five years of successful cooperation since the original MoU in 2020, the renewed agreement emphasizes knowledge sharing, technological collaboration, and expands into areas such as power system modeling, variable renewable energy integration, cross-border electricity trading, and EV charging infrastructure development.

Manohar Lal highlighted that this cooperation signifies a mutual commitment to sustainable development.
