Delhi, 4 May (H.S.): India has withheld the ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) accounts of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari amid rising tensions following a terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that killed 26 people.
This action follows the suspension of the X account of Pakistan’s information minister, Attaullah Tarar, who had alleged that India might launch a military strike in retaliation for the attack. As a result, both Khan and Bhutto’s accounts now show a message indicating they are withheld in India due to a legal demand, with their profile and cover images appearing blank. Additionally, India disabled the Instagram accounts of several Pakistani actors.
