Indian forces to maintain ceasefire agreement ; Pakistan's morale falters due to significant damage

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi

New Delhi, May 10 (H.S.): Although a ceasefire has been declared between India and Pakistan, within two days of the announcement, India has inflicted significant damage on Pakistan’s Skardu, Jacobabad, Sargodha, and Bholari airbases during retaliatory actions. India has also decided that any future terrorist actions will be considered acts of war against India and will be responded to accordingly.

After the India-Pakistan ceasefire agreement, Commodore Raghu R. Nair, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi provided detailed information in a press conference on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. The Indian Ministry of Defence officially indicated in the press conference that this is the result of India’s continued punitive strikes on Pakistani positions in Bholari, Skardu, Sargodha, and Jacobabad, leading to today’s ceasefire.

Earlier, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri informed that Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) called the Indian DGMO today at 15:35. An agreement was reached between them that both sides would cease all forms of firing and military actions on land, in the air, and at sea, effective at 17:00 Indian Standard Time. Both sides have been instructed to implement this agreement today. The DGMOs will speak again on May 12 at noon.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi stated that Pakistan claimed it damaged our S-400 and BrahMos missile bases with its JF-17, which is completely false. Colonel Qureshi exposed Pakistan’s rumors, propaganda, and lies, stating that all our military bases, airbases, and air missile defence systems S-400 are secure. She mentioned that Pakistan conducted another misinformation campaign claiming that our airports in Sirsa, Jammu, Pathankot, Bhatinda, Naliya, and Bhuj were damaged, which is also completely untrue.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi stated that Pakistan has spread a third lie claiming that our ammunition depots in Chandigarh and Beas were damaged, which is completely false. Pakistan has made false accusations that the Indian army has damaged mosques. Colonel Qureshi clearly stated that India is a secular country; therefore, it is baseless and false to accuse it of attacking mosques. He mentioned that India is a secular nation, and our army is a beautiful reflection of India’s constitutional values.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi reported that India has severely devastated Pakistan’s air assets, ground assets, including command centers, and has also incapacitated their radar systems. Today, during our counteraction, the Indian Air Force used aerial weapons on Pakistani military bases, as well as on Pasrur and Sialkot air bases and radar sites. Colonel Qureshi stated that the Indian armed forces are fully prepared, vigilant, and completely committed to defending India’s sovereignty and integrity.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh stated that our operations specifically targeted terrorist bases being used for anti-India activities. The Indian armed forces have not targeted any religious sites. Commodore Raghu R Nair mentioned that an agreement has been reached to halt all military activities in the sea, air, and ground with Pakistan. The Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Forces have been instructed to adhere to this agreement.
