Chennai, 12 May (H.S.) : The Chithirai Muzhu Nilavu Vanniyar Youth Conference saw a massive gathering of lakhs of people from across the state. The conference, led by Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leaders Anbumani Ramadoss and his father S. Ramadoss, was a significant event that highlighted the party’s commitment to the Vanniyar community and social justice.

The conference emphasized the importance of a caste survey and protection of the existing 69% reservation quota for backward classes in Tamil Nadu. PMK leaders stressed that these issues are crucial for the community’s development and representation. Despite recent internal conflicts, Anbumani Ramadoss and S. Ramadoss presented a united front, with Anbumani overseeing conference preparations as the asserted PMK president.

The conference served as a platform for the PMK to reassert its commitment to the Vanniyar community and social justice. With the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on the horizon, the conference’s resolutions are expected to shape the party’s electoral strategy and alliances. The PMK aims to win more seats in the elections under Anbumani’s leadership and strengthen its alliances under S. Ramadoss’ guidance.
