Netherlands makes history in T20, winning epic contest after three Super Overs against Nepal

Michael Levitt and Max O'Dowd gave Netherlands a rapid start

Glasgow, June 17(HS): In the T20 match played between the Netherlands and Nepal on Monday, the spectators witnessed the pinnacle of excitement as the match went into three consecutive super overs. This is the first time it has happened in any men’s professional T20 or List A match. Ultimately, the Netherlands won this thrilling contest, setting a new record.The journey from the last over to the third super over: Nepal, chasing a target of 152 runs, needed 16 runs in the final over. Nandan Yadav hit 4, 2, 2, and then another boundary off Kyle Klein’s deliveries, taking the match to the first super over.In the first super over, Daniel Doorne bowled for the Netherlands. Kushal Bhurtel hit two sixes and a four, scoring 19 runs. In response, Michael Levitt hit a six off the very first ball, followed by Max O’Dowd, who struck 6 and 4 off the last two balls, pushing the match to the second super over.In the second super over, the Netherlands scored 17 runs. Rohit Paudel hit a six off the first ball, and then Dipendra Singh Airee hit a four, bringing the equation to 7 runs on the last ball.
