Noman received payments from Indian accounts despite passport expiration

Chandigarh, May 18 (H.S.): During the interrogation of Noman Ilahi, arrested by Panipat police for espionage for Pakistan, significant revelations emerged. He allegedly sent espionage videos to the terrorist Ikbal Kana in Pakistan, receiving payments through Indian accounts rather than from Pakistan. A Panipat police officer stated that every aspect of Ilahi’s case is under investigation during his seven-day remand, noting the payments did not raise suspicion as they were routed through multiple Indian accounts.

The police are now examining over a dozen accounts linked to these transactions and suspect Ilahi may be a trained ISI spy. He has misled investigators, providing inaccurate information. The CIA has seized his expired passport from Uttar Pradesh and is probing his claimed trip to Pakistan in 2017. Ilahi had traveled to Pakistan three times by 2010, but the renewed passport remains missing, prompting further questioning by authorities.
