Let’s take a look at some prominent tournaments where Indian players showcased excellent performances on Tuesday.

Indian chess players have performed remarkably well in the Asian Chess Championship so far. In the women’s category, Seshadri Rija has secured the top position by winning all five of her matches. In the open section, India’s L. In the second phase of the 2025 Grand Chess Tour and the classical event ‘Superbet Chess Classic Romania’, India’s D. Gukesh faced defeat against Alireza Firouzja in round 6. After six rounds, Gukesh is in the last position with only 2 points. Meanwhile, India’s other participant R. Praggnanandhaa played a draw against Jan-Krzysztof Duda. He now has 4.5 points out of 6 rounds and is tied at the top with Alireza Firouzja, Fabiano Caruana, and Maxim Vachier-Lagrave.

In the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix series’ Grossolobming stage, Anna Muzychuk and Zhu Jiner are jointly at the top with 5 points each. India’s R.
