Over 40 organizations support indefinite movement for monarchy in Nepal

Leaders announcing a movement in favor of the monarchy.

Kathmandu, May 12 (HS): The indefinite movement demanding the restoration of the monarchy, starting from May 29 and centered in Kathmandu under the leadership of the National Democratic Party (Rastriya Prajatantra Party or RPP), has received support from over 40 organizations.

In a meeting held in Kathmandu, the Joint People’s Movement Committee, led by RPP President Rajendra Lingden, announced that more than 40 institutions have expressed their full support and commitment to participate in the movement. During the meeting, Lingden stated that this time, the indefinite movement will not end without the restoration of the monarchy.

He mentioned that the indefinite movement for the restoration of the monarchy has begun from the day Nepal’s new constitution was issued, the formal announcement of the end of the monarchy was made, and the day Nepal was declared a republic. Rajendra Lingden also called upon the people outside of Kathmandu to participate in this movement.

Kamal Thapa, who engages in politics by demanding the monarchy, has also announced his participation. Thapa, who was the National President of RPP for many years and later formed his own political party, attended the meeting in Kathmandu and declared his full support for this movement.

Additionally, Navraj Suvedi, coordinator of the Joint Struggle Committee formed by former King Gyanendra Shah, also expressed his support. Other organizations such as the World Hindu Federation, Shiv Sena Nepal, Hindu Emperor Army, Omkar Family, Sanatan Family Nepal, and others have fully supported the movement.
