New Delhi, June 9 (H.S.): Online payment and financial service distribution company Paytm has launched a personalized UPI ID on Monday. This feature will enhance payment privacy and prevent the disclosure of mobile numbers. With this new service from Paytm, consumers can now create their personalized UPI ID. Users can keep their mobile numbers private with this new service from Paytm, which will increase their privacy. In Paytm’s new offering, users can create UPI IDs like name@ptyes and name@ptaxis, allowing individuals to send and receive money without disclosing their mobile numbers. This feature is currently live on handles issued by Yes Bank and Axis Bank and will soon be extended to other banking partners. According to Paytm, the goal with personalized UPI IDs is to provide greater privacy. The company states that when a user sends or receives money using their personalized UPI ID, their mobile number remains hidden from transaction details. The company claims that this protects personal information while allowing individuals to create a unique and easily recognizable payment identity. A spokesperson from Paytm said, We have introduced personalized UPI IDs to provide more options and privacy in payments. The spokesperson stated that they listened to their customers who wanted to keep their mobile numbers private and created this solution to meet that need. We are committed to developing thoughtful innovations that make payments safe and more convenient for everyone.
