
New Delhi, May 21 (HS): Upon the killing of 27 Maoists by security forces in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed pride in our security forces for this remarkable achievement. Union Home Minister Amit Shah described it as a historic achievement.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi commented on a post by Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that his government is committed to completely eradicate the chaos associated with Maoism and fulfill the aspirations of peace and progress for the people.
Home Minister Amit Shah mentioned that for the first time in three decades, the security forces have succeeded in eliminating a General Secretary-level Naxalite leader in their fight against Naxalism.
Shah stated, “A historic achievement in the fight against Naxalism. Today, in an operation in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, our security forces have eliminated 27 dreaded Maoists, including CPI-Maoist General Secretary, top leader, and the backbone of the Naxal movement, Nambala Keshav Rao, alias Basavaraju.”
The Home Minister expressed happiness that after the completion of Operation Black Forest, 54 Naxals have been arrested in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Maharashtra, and 84 Naxals have surrendered.
He reiterated his government’s commitment to freeing the country from Naxalism by March 31, 2026.
