New Delhi, 22 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the revamped Deshnoke station in Bikaner, Rajasthan, on Thursday and virtually launch 102 other upgraded stations across 18 states. He will also lay foundation stones and inaugurate various development projects exceeding Rs 26,000 crore.

The PM’s Office revealed that the 103 stations were redeveloped under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ at a cost of over Rs 1,100 crore, enhancing over 1,300 stations with modern facilities and regional architectural themes to improve passenger amenities. The Deshnoke station, influenced by the Karni Mata temple’s architecture, caters to pilgrims and tourists.

Additionally, the revamped Begumpet station reflects Kakatiya architecture, while Thawe station showcases artworks of Maa Thawewali and Madhubani paintings. The Dakor station draws inspiration from the Ranchhodrai Ji Maharaj temple. The ‘Amrit’ stations combine modern infrastructure with cultural heritage and sustainable practices, catering to all passengers, including those with disabilities.
