
Doha, May 12(H.S.) : Qatar delivered the final shipment of 62,000 tons of fuel to the Tripoli port in Lebanon on Sunday, aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of the Lebanese Army. This delivery is the final one of three fuel shipments provided by the Qatar Fund for Development for the year 2025.
According to Sources, this assistance is intended to enhance the capacity of the Lebanese Army, as well as contribute to the country’s security and stability. The agency also reported that this step reflects Qatar’s solidarity with the Lebanese people and its commitment to ensuring lasting peace and prosperity in the country.
This strategic initiative is considered a significant effort towards regional stability, especially at a time when Lebanon is grappling with political and economic challenges.
According to sources in the Lebanese Army, this fuel shipment will be directly used for various operational activities of the army, such as patrols, communications, and emergency services, thereby assisting in maintaining border security and internal peace.
