Rajnath Singh speaks to U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth over pahalgam Terror Attack

New Delhi, May 1 (H.S.): U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth expressed deep sorrow and condolences over the deaths of innocent civilians in the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, during a phone call with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday . He expressed solidarity with India, stating that the U.S. stands with India in its fight against terrorism.

During this conversation, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that Pakistan has long been providing support, training, and financial assistance to terrorist organizations. Pakistan has been exposed as a terrorist-supporting nation, and the entire world should no longer turn a blind eye to terrorism. The international community should clearly and strongly condemn such barbaric attacks and take strict measures united against terrorism.

U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth reiterated the full support of the U.S. government in India’s fight against terrorism. He stated that America stands in solidarity with India and supports India’s right to self-defense.

Following the Pahalgam attack, there is widespread outrage in the country towards Pakistan. The government is determined to take action against Pakistan regarding this attack. The Prime Minister has also conveyed a strong message on this issue. Meanwhile, world leaders are engaging in discussions with Indian leaders.
