Washington, 24 June (H.S.): US President Donald Trump announced a complete and total ceasefire between Israel and Iran, calling the conflict the 12-day War. The ceasefire will begin with Iran, followed by Israel after 12 hours, culminating in an official end to hostilities recognized globally. Trump praised both nations for their courage and intelligence in resolving a conflict that could have devastated the Middle East.

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!, Trump posted on his Truth Social platform.

However, neither Israel nor Iran has confirmed the ceasefire. The conflict began on June 13 with Israel’s airstrike on Iranian military sites, called Operation Rising Lion. In response, Iran launched Operation True Promise 3, targeting Israeli fuel and energy production facilities. The situation escalated when the US conducted airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites under Operation Midnight Hammer, leading to Iranian missile attacks on US bases in Qatar and Iraq, including the Al Udeid Air Base.
