Chennai, 12 May (H.S.) : The University of Puducherry has launched the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative, a national program aimed at providing seamless and inclusive access to educational resources. This initiative was inaugurated by Prof. P. Prakash Babu, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Puducherry University, who emphasized the importance of providing access to educational content for students, researchers, faculty, and policymakers.

The ONOS initiative allows users to access a vast range of electronic resources through QR codes placed throughout the university campus. This innovative approach enables instant access to digital content, significantly supporting research, teaching, and learning at the University of Puducherry. Dr. M. Vijayakumar, University Librarian, explained the benefits and impacts of the initiative, highlighting its potential to improve educational progress at the university.

The launch event featured special guest Prof. S. Clement Lourdes, who shared his insights on research and fostering an open knowledge culture. The initiative is expected to promote a culture of research and innovation within the university, benefiting students, researchers, and faculty alike. With the ONOS initiative, the University of Puducherry is taking a significant step towards enhancing access to educational resources and promoting academic excellence.
