Vice President to Inaugurate Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Memorial Library in Jaipur on Thursday

New Delhi, May 14 (HS): Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will inaugurate the Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Memorial Library in Jaipur on Thursday, on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

The Vice President’s Secretariat announced on Wednesday that Vice President Dhankhar and his wife, Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar, will embark on a one-day tour of Rajasthan on May 15. During this visit, Dhankhar will inaugurate the Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Memorial Library in Jaipur in memory of the former Vice President.

Bhairon Singh Shekhawat served as the 11th Vice President of India from August 19, 2002, to July 21, 2007. He began his political career in 1952 as a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and later went on to become the Chief Minister of Rajasthan three times. Vice President Dhankhar will travel from Delhi to Jaipur on a special flight to participate in the event organized on the 15th death anniversary of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, and will then reach the venue at Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium via helicopter.

On this occasion, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Member of Parliament Madan Rathore, and other distinguished guests will be present.
