New Delhi, May 12 (HS): India’s largest automobile manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India, has included six airbags as standard in all variants of its Wagon R, Alto K10, and Eco models. This update by the company aims to enhance safety. Passengers will now be safer than ever during travel in these cars.

According to a statement released by Maruti Suzuki India’s management on Monday, the company will offer six airbags in all variants of models like Wagon R, Alto K10, Celerio, and Eco. The company stated that this step underscores its commitment to providing enhanced safety for customers across various domains.

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing and Sales) of the company, mentioned that the rapidly expanding modern road infrastructure, high-speed expressways, and evolving mobility patterns in India indicate the unprecedented need for strong safety measures. With the decision to make six airbags standard in Wagon R, Alto K10, Celerio, and Eco, the company is ensuring better safety for all.

Partho Banerjee added that considering the immense popularity of these models, this step significantly enhances safety standards for a large number of drivers and contributes to overall passenger safety across the country. In fact, Maruti sells models like Wagon R, Alto K10, Celerio, and Eco through its Arena sales network, while it sells premium models like Baleno, Grand Vitara, and Invicto through the Nexa network.
