आर्मी वेटरन कुलदीप शर्मा ने पत्रकार अर्फाज़ अहमद डैंग को अपनी पाँच मरला (लगभग 1362 वर्ग फुट) ज़मीन दान में देने का फैसला किया है। यह कदम उस वक्त सामने आया जब गुरुवार को प्रशासन द्वारा अर्फाज़ डैंग का मकान ढहा दिया गया था। शुक्रवार को कुलदीप शर्मा अपनी बेटी तान्या शर्मा के साथ डैंग परिवार से मिले और उन्हें ज़मीन के कागज़ात एवं सभी कानूनी दस्तावेज सौंपे। इस दौरान दोनों परिवारों की आँखें नम थीं, पर माहौल भाईचारे और इंसानियत की भावना से भरा हुआ था। शर्मा ने कहा कि जम्मू में हिन्दू–मुस्लिम एकता को कायम रखना ही उनका संकल्प है।
