Delhi, 25 April (H.S.): In February 2025, provisional payroll data from ESIC showed the addition of 15.43 lakh new employees, along with 23,526 new establishments joining the ESI Scheme for enhanced social security. The total number of employees contributing during February 2025 was 2,97,04,614, reflecting a growth of 5,66,219 compared to February 2024. Notably, 7.36 lakh of the new employees (approximately 47.7%) were aged 25 and under.

Additionally, female enrolment reached 3.35 lakh, while 74 transgender individuals were also registered, highlighting ESIC’s dedication to inclusivity. The payroll figures are provisional, as they are part of an ongoing data collection process.
