A Mega plantation drive was held at the Armed Police Complex Zewan, Srinagar, by JKAP 9th Bn. & Border 1st Bn., Amb Gharota, Jammu.
2. The initiative, aimed at promoting a greener and healthier environment, supports efforts to mitigate the environmental impacts of deforestation and climate change.
3. ⁠The drive was led by Sh. Khalil Ahmed Poswal, SSP, Commandant JKAP 9th Bn., who planted saplings at the Unit Headquarters in Zewan. The drive focused on raising awareness about the importance of trees in combating global warming, preventing floods and landslides, and fostering a sustainable microclimate.
4. ⁠*Sh. Ashok Sharma, SSP*, Commandant Border 1st Bn., also participated in the plantation drive at Amb Gharota, Jammu, emphasizing the *significance of forests in supporting ecosystems and communities*.
