Nagpur, 22 Apr (HS):
Another bomb threat on Tuesday at the Nagpur High Court building raised
serious concern over the security of the judicial institutions. The threat was
received via email, following which Sadar Police was alerted. Earlier a similar
threat was received on March 24.
The court premises
were not vacated and the security personnel, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad
with sniffer dogs, started the search operation inside the court building. No
suspicious object was found, and the threat turned out to be a hoax. The police are
tracing the source of the threat message.
The search operation
was smoothly carried out without pushing the panic button. Many of the lawyers
at the court could not notice search operation by the police.
A similar email was
received at the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court premises, which also turned out
to be a hoax.
The earlier threat
turned out to be a hoax. On the same day, a similar threat was received at the
Guwahati High Court.
