Bhubaneswar, 23 April (H.S.)— The mortal remains of Prashant Satpathy, the Odia youth who was tragically killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, will be brought back to Odisha later today. The state administration, in coordination with the Odisha government and officials stationed in New Delhi, is overseeing the repatriation process.
According to official sources, Prashant’s body will be transported from Srinagar to New Delhi, arriving at 2:35 PM this afternoon. From there, it will be flown to Bhubaneswar on a late evening flight, expected to land at around 9:45 PM. The Office of the Resident Commissioner of Odisha in New Delhi has confirmed the schedule and is closely monitoring the arrangements in collaboration with local and central authorities.
Prashant Satpathy lost his life in a brutal terrorist attack that occurred on Tuesday in the scenic region of Pahalgam. He was traveling with his wife, Priyadarshini Satpathy, and their nine-year-old son when armed militants opened fire in broad daylight. Prashant was shot dead in front of his family, while his wife and son narrowly escaped physical harm but were left deeply traumatized after witnessing the horrifying incident.
