KCF terrorist absconding for 3 decades runs out of luck, nabbed in Ghaziabad

24 April (HS): In a joint operation, Noida team of Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist

Squad (ATS) and Ghaziabad Police arrested suspected terrorist Mangat Singh

alias Manga on Wednesday night. He was caught from Vivekanand Nagar in

Ghaziabad. He is an active member of the banned terrorist organization

Khalistan Commando Force (KCF). He was absconding for the last 30 years. A

reward of Rs 25,000 was announced on him.

officials said that Mangat Singh alias Manga was earlier arrested on March 11,

1993. After being released on bail two years later, he went underground. He is

originally from Timmowal Khilchiyan in Amritsar district of Punjab. For a long

time, he was hiding in Vivekanand Nagar of Kavinagar in Ghaziabad. A case was

registered against him under TADA in Sahibabad police station of Ghaziabad. He

was sent to jail in this case. He got bail on August 16, 1995. He was not even

appearing for the hearing.

Officials

said that on December 12 last year, the court had issued an arrest warrant. He

was hiding in Amritsar’s Khilchiyan area for a long time. Four cases are

registered against him in Ghaziabad Police. The local court of Ghaziabad had

issued an arrest warrant on December 12, 2024 in a criminal case. It is

noteworthy that Manga Singh’s real brother Sangat Singh was killed by Punjab

Police in an encounter in Vyas district in the year 1990. Sangat Singh was the

chief of Khalistan Commando Force.
