
New Delhi, April 24 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday during a public meeting in Madhubani, Bihar, that the attackers and conspirators involved in the Pahalgam attack will be punished beyond their imagination.
The Prime Minister stated that the brutal murder of innocent citizens by terrorists on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, has distressed the entire country. The whole nation stands with the bereaved families in their sorrow. The government is making every effort for the rapid recovery of those family members who are still undergoing treatment.
He mentioned that this attack was not just on unarmed tourists; the enemies of the country dared to attack India’s faith. In this terrorist attack, some lost their sons, some lost their brothers, and some lost their spouses. Some of them spoke Bengali, some spoke Kannada, some were Odia, some Marathi, some Gujarati, and there was even a son of Bihar among them. Today, our grief and anger over their deaths are the same from Kargil to Kanyakumari.
The Prime Minister firmly stated that the enemies of the country have dared to attack the soul of India. I want to say in very clear terms that those who carried out this attack, the terrorists, and the conspirators will face a punishment greater than their imagination. He added, “I tell the whole world that India will identify every terrorist and their supporters, track them down, and punish them.”
He stated that every possible effort will be made to ensure that terrorism is punished. The entire country is steadfast in this resolve. He said that the will of 1.4 billion Indians will break the backbone of the masters of terror. The Prime Minister noted that every person who believes in humanity stands with us. He expressed gratitude to various countries and leaders who are standing with India during this difficult time.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects costing ₹13,480 crores on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day. The Prime Minister mentioned that thousands of crores worth of projects related to the development of Bihar were inaugurated and laid today. These various initiatives in electricity, rail, and infrastructure will create new job opportunities in Bihar.
The Prime Minister also paid tribute to National Poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar on his death anniversary.
