Delhi markets will close Friday to honor Pahalgam attack victims

CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal

New Delhi, April 24 (HS):Traders are filled with deep sorrow and anger following the terrorist attack on tourists in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, which resulted in the death of 26 innocents. In response, major trade organizations in Delhi have announced a commercial shutdown on April 25 to pay tribute to the victims and support government efforts.

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has endorsed this initiative, urging all traders in Delhi to voluntarily close their shops and comply peacefully. CAIT’s National Secretary General, Praveen Khandelwal, emphasized that this shutdown is a tribute, not a protest, symbolizing national unity. Additionally, CAIT has called on Delhi Police to maintain law and order and ensure safety in markets during this period.
