Lucknow,
28 April (HS): A tourist facility centre will be constructed in Sonbhadra
district. A tourist facilitation project worth Rs 875.33 lakh has been approved
for the construction of this centre. The implementing agencies for these
projects have been decided and the necessary government order has also been
issued. This information was given by the state’s tourism and culture minister
Jaiveer Singh.
Minister
Jaiveer Singh informed that under the financial year 2024-25, 03 projects worth
Rs 4992.62 lakh have been approved by the Tourism Department for the
development of various religious places and temples in Chitrakoot district.
Chitrakoot district is a historical city. There are many ancient sites here.
Tourists keep coming here throughout the year. Lord Shri Ram lived here for a
long time during his exile. There are many religious places associated with
Lord Rama, Laxman, Mother Sita here. The Tourism Department has decided to
create basic facilities in all the districts of the state to attract tourists
to the state.
He
informed that under the Tirtha Vikas Parishad, a project of Rs 2044.37 lakh has
been approved for cultural and urban rejuvenation and development of basic
facilities for the convenience of pilgrims on the Kamadgiri Parikrama Marg.
Similarly, a project of Rs 1192.58 lakh has been approved for the construction
of tourist facility center/dormitory at the main halt point of Ramvan Gaman
Marg and Rs 1755.67 lakh for the construction of tourist facility
center/dormitory on the border in Devangana Valley near Chitrakoot airport.
