Bhubaneswar, 30 April (H.S.): In a significant move aimed at benefiting the working class, Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has approved a ₹10 increase in the state’s minimum daily wages. The proposal has received formal approval from the Chief Minister and is expected to provide relief to lakhs of workers across the state.
The revised minimum daily wage rates are as follows: Unskilled workers – ₹452 to ₹462, Semi-skilled workers – ₹502 to ₹512, Skilled workers – ₹552 to ₹562, and Highly skilled workers – ₹602 to ₹612. The state government has also clarified that the revised wage rates will be effective retrospectively from April 1.
