Massive Fire at Ajmer Hotel ,killed 4 & Several Injured

Efforts to rescue people trapped in the hotel.

Ajmer, May 1 (HS) : A tragic fire incident occurred this morning in Diggi Bazaar, Ajmer, Rajasthan, claiming the lives of four individuals and injuring several others at the Naz Hotel, which housed many pilgrims. Eyewitnesses reported a loud explosion around 8 AM, attributed to an air conditioner malfunctioning in one of the rooms.

The subsequent fire quickly spread throughout the hotel, exacerbated by preliminary findings suggesting a short circuit as the cause. Chaos ensued, with some patrons jumping from windows to escape; notably, a woman threw her child out, who was caught safely below and sustained only minor burns.

Firefighters and police faced challenges due to the narrow access roads, complicating rescue efforts. Local residents called for help, but firefighters arrived nearly half an hour later. The injured were transported to Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital for treatment.
