Amit Shah asserts Sanskrit and other languages will thrive together

New Delhi, May 4 (HS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Sanskrit Bharati have initiated a strong campaign for the revival of the Sanskrit language and Indian culture. He clarified that the government does not oppose any language but aims to empower all languages.

Shah made these remarks at the closing ceremony of 1008 conversation camps organized by Sanskrit Bharati. He stated that Sanskrit is the mother of most Indian languages. If Sanskrit is strong, other languages will also be strong. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several initiatives are being undertaken to promote Sanskrit. The new education policy has also made special provisions for Sanskrit.

Shah emphasized the need to convey the nectar of Sanskrit knowledge to the world in a simple language. He appealed to everyone to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of the Sanskrit language. He mentioned that the government has allocated a budget of 500 crores for the preservation and digitization of manuscripts.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister of Delhi also shared his thoughts. He noted that thousands of people participated in these camps, symbolizing their dedication to the motherland. The Chief Minister stated that Sanskrit has been considered difficult, whereas it is the most scientific language. Today, Sanskrit is being taught in 60 universities worldwide.

Sanskrit Bharati organized camps at 1008 locations in Delhi from April 23 to May 3, where 20,000 people learned to speak Sanskrit. The closing ceremony took place on May 4 at Delhi University, which was attended by more than 5,000 people. This campaign by Sanskrit Bharati was successful with the cooperation of many institutions and scholars across the country.
