
New Delhi, May 2 (HS): EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar stated that the world is moving towards the future and it is essential to understand the outcomes that come with it. Every technological advancement brings its own challenges, and artificial intelligence is no exception. He shared his views on technological innovations and their social impacts during the global media dialogue session at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (Waves) held in Mumbai.
The Foreign Minister stressed the need for the responsible use of emerging technologies. He said that reducing biases, democratizing content, and prioritizing technological ethics are vital needs of our time. It is important to bring technology and tradition together. Technology can especially raise awareness of our vast heritage among the younger generation. Innovation is the foundation for a significant leap in building a developed India. A shift in thinking, policy, and behavior is necessary for the global workplace and workforce. It is crucial to prepare young talents for an era of creative communication, sports, and collaboration, where the spread of skills will be essential. He expressed hope that the Waves platform will prove to be an effective forum for meaningful dialogue on key issues in global media, entertainment, and the creative sectors.
Welcoming all representatives, Dr. Jaishankar expressed hope that this round of dialogue will be useful and creative. Thanking the participants, he said that this platform would pave new paths for technological direction and perspective in the coming years.
