Bhubaneswar, 8 May (H.S.): On the occasion of World Thalassemia Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized the importance of early detection, public awareness, and collective action in the fight against thalassemia. In a message shared on social media, the Chief Minister urged citizens and healthcare stakeholders to strengthen efforts in screening and treatment to support those affected by the inherited blood disorder.
“On World Thalassemia Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to raising awareness, supporting patients, and strengthening screening and treatment efforts. Early detection and collective action can save countless lives,” he said in his post.
